You want to share deals on WhatsApp and earn a commission when people buy, but every country has different stores and every program has different rules. This guide lists the main affiliate programs for the US, the UK, India and Southeast Asia, with the official sign-up page for each one, and helps you pick the right one for your audience.
The short answer: join the program of the store your audience already buys from. In the US and UK that usually means Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network or (US only) the Walmart Affiliate Program. In India, Amazon Associates India and Flipkart Affiliate. In the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, Shopee and Lazada. AliExpress Portals works across many countries. Read each program's agreement before you post your first link, because rules about messaging apps, link shorteners and disclosures differ.
How affiliate programs work (and how you get paid)
An affiliate program gives you a special tracking link. When someone clicks your link and completes a qualifying purchase, the store credits you a commission, usually a percentage of the sale. You don't hold stock, ship anything or handle refunds. Your job is to find good deals, explain why they're worth it and share them with people who asked to receive them.
Three things vary a lot between programs and decide how much you actually earn: the commission rate by category, the minimum payout and the channels you're allowed to use. That last one matters most for WhatsApp. Some agreements mention messages and social media directly; others don't. When a program isn't clear, ask its support team before you build your group around it.
The main affiliate programs, with official sign-up pages
Every link below was checked on the official site in October 2026. Use these pages, not lookalike sites or "agents" that promise faster approval. If anyone asks you to pay a fee to get into an affiliate program faster, treat it as a red flag.
Marketplaces in the US and UK
The affiliate program of Amazon.com. Huge catalog and a store almost everyone already trusts.
- Required disclosure: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- Links in emails, SMS and social media direct messages are allowed only when the communication is solicited (the person opted in).
- Link shorteners can't be used in a way that hides that the link goes to Amazon.
The program for Amazon.co.uk, with the same disclosure sentence as the US.
- Required disclosure: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- Its Policies also say links in SMS and direct messages need to be solicited (opted into).
eBay's affiliate program, with two tracks: EPN for affiliates and eBay Ambassador for social creators.
- eBay Ambassador is for US and UK-based users only.
- The Network Agreement requires a privacy notice on your site.
- Good for used, refurbished and collectible items, like retro consoles and games.
Walmart.com's program, run through the Impact Radius affiliate platform.
- You earn when a visitor follows your link and completes a qualifying purchase.
- Details and answers are in the official Walmart affiliate FAQ.
India
The program for Amazon.in. Note: the address is affiliate-program.amazon.in, not "affiliate.amazon.in".
- You must clearly and prominently state: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- Read the Operating Agreement for the rules on where you can share links.
Flipkart's own affiliate program, a natural fit for audiences in India.
- The home page shows a commission table by category (for example, books and toys have ranges, mobiles and cameras have caps).
- Big sale events like The Big Billion Days are strong moments for deals groups.

Shopee has a separate affiliate portal for each country. Use the one for the market you promote in.

- Malaysia: affiliate.shopee.com.my
- Singapore: affiliate.shopee.sg
Lazada's program, also split by country.

Marketplace, US-only or cross-border: what fits you
- Big marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopee, Lazada) are stores people already trust, so you spend less effort convincing them.
- Huge catalogs make it easy to feed a niche group every day.
- Big seasonal events (Prime Big Deal Days, Big Billion Days, 11.11) bring natural spikes.
- Commission per sale on big marketplaces is often modest, so you need volume.
- Programs are country-specific: a UK link doesn't help a member in India.
- Cross-border stores can have long delivery times, which leads to complaints if you don't warn people.
How to choose the right program in 5 questions
- Where do your members live? Amazon, Shopee and Lazada are split by country. If your group mixes countries, consider separate groups per country.
- Where do they already shop? Ask in a poll. Sending people to a store they don't trust kills clicks.
- Does the program allow your channel? Look for what the agreement says about messages, social media and link shorteners.
- Can you get paid? Check the payout methods, the minimum payout and whether you need tax information for your country.
- Does your niche have depth there? A gaming group needs a store with games, consoles and accessories in stock, every week.

Rules that apply to every program
Each program has its own agreement, but a few rules show up everywhere, and following them protects both your account and your group:
- Disclose that you earn a commission, right next to the link, in words people understand. In the US, the FTC says a disclosure should be hard to miss; in the UK, the ASA says ads must be obviously identifiable. More in our affiliate disclosure guide.
- Send links only to people who asked for them. Amazon's US policies, for example, allow links in direct messages only when the communication is solicited.
- Don't hide where the link goes. Amazon forbids using a link shortener in a way that makes it unclear the link goes to Amazon.
- Don't promise prices you can't guarantee. Prices change fast; say "price at time of posting".
- Don't create fake orders. Buying through your own links, or asking friends to do it just for the commission, can break program rules. Check what your agreement says.
Mistakes that cost beginner affiliates their commission
Once you're posting every day, the next step is writing deals that people actually click. Use the formulas in how to write a deal message that sells and post at the best times for your audience.
